Up, Up & Away

Swissotel Sydney After a few months of daily emails, Dave suggested that they meet up in Australia where he would be attending a conference. Amy responded that it might be wise to meet up closer to home for a first date before flying halfway around the world together. The first date seed was thus planted.

We quickly made plans to meet up for brunch in Manhattan while Amy was visiting family since Dave was just a Fung Wah bus away at the time. (We continue to meet up at the same spot every anniversary.) Brunch was a success, and the first date lasted for about five days. Australia planning could commence.
