Very Important
Please read this carefully. There are some logistical issues to keep in mind for our wedding weekend. If anything isn't clear, please let us know.
Getting to Rosy's Jazz Hall
We've set up a googlemap with some of the relevant places marked. Clicking on the image below will take you there. The main thing to keep in mind is that you should avoid being in the red-shaded area in the hour or so before the wedding. The thick red line is a parade route, and Mardi Gras parades will be rolling the night of the wedding. The parade route streets will be closed about an hour before the parade gets there (it starts near Rosy's Jazz Hall, in the south-west portion of the shaded area). You will not be able to cross those streets once they're closed, and you will not be able to use Tchoupitoulas Street from Napolean Avenue eastward all afternoon.
The thick green line indicates a safe route from downtown and the French Quarter to Rosy's. If you are staying at the Intercontinental or Bienville House, you should plan on leaving your hotel about 45 minutes to an hour before the ceremony.
For those who are red-green colorblind: enjoy the parades!
Parking
Rosy's is on the corner of Tchoupitoulas Street and Valence Street. They have informed us that we will have parking for about 30 cars across Valence Street from Rosy's (carpooling will help). There should also be plenty of parking along Tchoupitoulas Street west of Napolean Avenue. The closer to Napolean Avenue you go, the less likely there is to be parking because of the parades.
